For more than 20 years, my passion for education has guided my journey as a teacher, counselor, and school leader. My commitment remains the same: to create an environment where every student thrives, every educator feels supported, and every family feels welcomed and valued. At River Oaks, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and innovation while ensuring that every child has the support needed to reach their full potential.
As a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of two, I understand the importance of strong school-family partnerships. With a husband who served in the military, I have also experienced firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with transitions and change. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child deserves a nurturing, high-expectation learning environment where they feel seen, supported, and empowered.
At River Oaks Elementary School, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school create the foundation for student achievement. I look forward to continuing our work together as we inspire learning, celebrate growth, and create memorable experiences for every student.
Thank you for being an important part of the River Oaks family. Together, we will make the 2026-2027 school year one of growth, achievement, and joyful learning.
With 27 years in education, I’ve had the privilege of teaching grades 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, serving as an interventionist for four years, and leading in administration for the past decade. Each role has deepened my passion for learning and strengthened my belief in the power of relationships, resilience, and reflection.
As a family-oriented educator, I understand the importance of partnership between home and school. Together, we can create a safe, joyful, and inspiring environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to shine.
I believe in being the light—bringing positivity, hope, and encouragement into every space I enter. My goal is to support our students, staff, and families with compassion, clarity, and a commitment to growth. I look forward to learning alongside you, celebrating our successes, and working through challenges with grace and grit.
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at River Oaks Elementary, where I bring a rich and varied background in education to my leadership role. I began my career in education over 20 years ago, with experience that includes teaching preschool, kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade, as well as serving as a math instructional coach.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed my master’s in Administration, Supervision, and Leadership at Liberty University in May 2023.
I am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child is empowered to thrive. I believe in the transformative power of relationships—not only with students and families, but also with teachers and staff. My leadership is rooted in collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to student achievement.
Outside of school, I enjoy a vibrant family life with my husband and our four children, whose ages range from middle school to college—including one who recently joined the United States Air Force. As a family, we love to travel and spend quality time spoiling our beloved pets.
I look forward to partnering with families, staff, and the broader school community to ensure every child at River Oaks Elementary experiences a joyful, enriching, and successful school year.
