I have provided links to recorders which are used in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. We use Soprano Recorders, most are made by Yamaha or Harmony recorders from West Music; good recorders range from $3-$7. They are a useful tool for developing fine motor skills, reading sheet music, improvising, creating, and developing tonal skills. If your student is looking for a recorder with a unique color be sure to look for one on Amazon and find the color they would like. The students absolutely enjoy playing recorders and feeling successful when they have learned a song. Within the tab labelled "Files and Documents" you can find various recorder curriculum used in my classroom. Thank you and happy practicing!
