Good Morning Families,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend and was able to enjoy Mother's Day! As I told you last week, I will not longer be holding
daily Zoom meetings. We will begin transitioning over to video conferencing using Microsoft Teams.

This week, I will spend helping and making sure all students are able to log into their email on Outlook 365.
If they are using a phone or tablet, they are able to download the Teams App, free.

I would like all students to log into their email, then in the upper left corner, click the squares.
Once you click that, you should see "Teams" and "Calendar". Once you see both of those, please have them email me
telling me that they are able to find both of those.

Later this week, I will send out an invitation and we will practice joining the video conference session.

Please reach out if you are having difficulty accessing your child's email or teams.

Happy Monday,
Ms. Andresen

Good Morning Families,
I have uploaded all the activities and resources for the week under Files and Documents.
I also have uploaded the PDF file for the 5.1 and 5.3 Quick Checks from last week. I know some students
had trouble accessing Powertest over the weekend. We will go over these at the start of each Zoom

Please make sure they finish off their activities from last week, if they have not had the chance.

Enjoy your week,
Ms Andresen

Hello Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break as much as they are able to, during this stay at home order!

We are beginning our Virtual Learning this week and I could not be more excited! I will be posting resources and activities under Files and Documents. As resources from the county become available, I will continue to update it.

Our Schedule: Instruction from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Monday- Reading
Tuesday- Math
Wednesday- Science
Thursday- Social Studies

During this time, students will be working on previously taught material. I will be logged into zoom, to assist and help each student on their individual needs.

Weekly Office Hours:
Monday from 9:00 am - 10:00 am

I will be available during this time to answer any questions you may have regarding assignments. Please reach out via Class Tag or Email (  I will also be available outside of these hours, I will get back to you as soon as I am able to.

In order for me to provide your students with the best instruction during this time, I will need to know what technology, if any, that you have access to at home. Please let me know if your child will be using a phone, tablet, or computer.

Virtual Learning is new to all of us, so I want to thank you for your continue support and patience during this time. Please remember that this is optional. This is a tough time for everyone , so I completely understand.

Continue to stay healthy and safe,
    Ms. Andresen

Hello Families and Students,

I hope everyone and their families are staying healthy and safe during this time. Please continue to visit the PWCS Website for frequent updates as we go through this difficult time.

As for learning, the County has stated that no students should be doing school work until Monday, March 30th.

Before leaving, students came home with a login sheet with all their usernames and passwords for websites that we access during the school day. All of these can be accessed through their Clever, using Office365. Students may need to enter their email, which can be found at the top of their student login page, ( Also, I have linked the Websites for Students on the ROES Homepage. This also gives them access.

Students have their Rotation Folders that they should have at home for each subject. On the Distant Learning Document (attached under Files), I have mapped out a general outline of which skills they should be working on and on which day. Due to the change of no work being completed before March 30th, I will update the document with the new dates.

In class, we began our Author Study. Students researched Patricia Polacco and began to look through some of her books. Before leaving, I had most students pick a book or two by her to read and break apart. She has an amazing style of writing and very meaningful themes, which all relate to experiences in her life. They were given a recording sheet for them to record things they notice about her writing and illustrations. If you do not have a book, she has most of her books can be found as a read aloud on youtube. Here is a link to her books and a little summary,

During this time of distant learning, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email, if you have any questions.
       See you soon,
           Ms. Andresen
