Dear Amazing River Oaks Family!

I am so happy to have the pleasure of being your new assistant principal.  I have been an educator in Prince William County Schools for thirty-four years, thirty-one of those years has been at River Oaks Elementary. 

During my years in Prince William County, I have been a 4th and 5th grade teacher, a special education teacher, and a Title I reading, math, and pre-K teacher.  In addition, I  have been an Enhanced Instructional Process Coach, Interventionist, Prince William County Schools Lead Mentor of Zero Experienced Teachers, Before and After School Tutorial Program Coordinator, Saturday School Program Coordinator, School Level Robotics and Odyssey of the Mind Coordinator, and Prince William County Schools Conference Presenter.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University. I have a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University and earned my Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management from Hampton, University. 

Over these years, I have enjoyed working closely with students, families, and teachers to ensure their success.  I will do my very best to ensure the success of and uphold the exemplary standards of River Oaks Elementary.

As we begin this new school year, I would like for everyone to remember that you are uniquely you and there is no one else like you.  You have within yourself everything you need to be successful. Believe in yourself and your abilities and strive to always be the very best you that you can be!   I am excited to be on this journey with you!  Wishing you all the best for the 2021-2022 school year.
